English — A test suite is a set of programs that check the contract. This one reports 1,319 passed, 0 failed, 1 skipped on the release settings, 119 of 119 on live liquidity. What makes that number worth anything is not its size but its legibility: every number with its denominator, a named killing test for each deliberate break, and a command that reproduces it.

What you gain from this page is a way to read a test count without being impressed by it. A test suite is a collection of small programs that run the contract in controlled situations and check that it does what it should. A test passes when the check holds and fails when it does not. A suite that is all green tells you the checks held; it does not, by itself, tell you the checks were worth holding.

Two of those rows count “tests” differently, which is why both are printed with their method. A declared test is a function whose name says it is a test; 1,478 of them existed in the source at the public verification of 2026-09-05, and 1,609 across 236 files on the main branch on 2026-10-01. A run test is one the runner executed and reported; in that verification, 1,320 ran on the release settings with the live-chain suites left out, and those suites are counted separately because they need a connection to a copy of a real chain. Neither number is more true. They answer different questions, and a page that printed one without saying which would be hiding the other.

Why the count alone means little

A test can be green for a bad reason. It can check the contract against a number computed by the same code it is checking, so both are wrong together. It can run in a situation the property never reaches — a campaign whose handler never gets to the state a property protects certifies that property over an empty universe, and looks identical from the outside to one that reaches it. It can be a check that cannot fail. None of those show up in a count. A thousand green tests of that kind are a thousand decorations.

What makes this suite legible

A small example

Take the belts. A less careful page would count the fee ledger as “covered” because tests run through the code that contains it. The measurement asked the sharper question — if this check were removed, would any test notice? — twenty times with twenty different random seeds, and the answer was no, 0 of 20, for both. That zero is the honest reading, and it is more useful than a hundred greens: it tells you exactly which two lines are the contract refusing at run time what the tests refuse at review time, on paths that do not exist yet.

What the count still does not tell you

No probability that the contracts are correct — testing cannot produce one, and none is stated. The 268 breaks are a hand-written list, so 268 of 268 is a floor on what is watched, not a ceiling on what could go wrong. And the tree these numbers describe is V2, which is not deployed; the deployed generation is V1. A test count is a fact about a repository, and this page is about how to read that fact for what it is.

Writing an answer, a wiki entry or a paper? The claim above is reproducible against the chain before you quote it — which is the only sound basis for citing a technical source at all.
