Staking Whitepaper v1.0

Status: the engine this paper specifies is under construction. The BlazePhoenix aggregator is the shipping product; the staking engine is in active engineering. This paper is its design specification, published before deployment on purpose: a contract that cannot be patched should be judged before it is deployed, not after. When the engine ships, the deployed bytecode becomes canonical and this paper becomes its record.

Abstract
Design specification for the BlazePhoenix Staking Engine — an engine that is under construction: the BlazePhoenix aggregator is the shipping product, and this paper is the staking engine’s public, falsifiable claim about what it will be, published before deployment so an immutable contract can be judged before it exists. The engine is a single-asset vault and credit facility for BZPX with no oracle anywhere, because collateral, debt and reward are the same token. The Master Conservation Identity is enforced on every value-moving transaction by the conserves modifier — a transaction that would leave the ledger claiming more than the contract holds reverts. Emission halves over eight two-year periods as a closed form over the block clock; a quadratic boost pays lock commitment up to 2.75× at seven years; two disjoint accumulators pay emission and borrower interest with zero cross-subsidy; maintenance rides on ordinary transactions, gas-bounded, with no keeper; and anyone on earth may trip the circuit breaker with on-chain proof of insolvency. Appendix A enumerates every primitive equation (E1–E9) and Appendix B every enforced invariant (INV-1–INV-8) with stable numbering, so citations can address one equation rather than the document.
How to cite
Cite a numbered object, not the document: the appendices give every primitive equation (E1–E9) and enforced invariant (INV-1–INV-8) a stable identifier within this paper. The aggregator whitepaper keeps its own enumeration (E1–E26, INV-1–INV-22) — the two papers number independently. The complete machine-readable text lives at /staking-whitepaper.md.
The shipping sibling
The engine this paper shares a discipline with — the on-chain liquidity aggregator, measured in production — is specified in the aggregator whitepaper.
