A seed phrase is a list of twelve or twenty-four words that mathematically generates every private key in your wallet. It is not a password you can reset; it is the wallet itself. Whoever holds the phrase holds the funds, on every chain, forever. That is the whole deal of self-custody: total control, total responsibility.

## The rules that matter

Never type your seed phrase into a website, never share it, never store it in a screenshot or a cloud note. No legitimate protocol, support agent or airdrop will ever ask for it. BlazePhoenix never has custody of your funds and will never message you first or ask for a phrase; if an account claiming to be us does, it is not us. Write the words on paper, keep them offline, and treat anyone asking for them as an attacker.

**Verify it yourself:** Confirm the rule in practice: a swap only ever asks you to sign a transaction in your wallet, never to enter your recovery words anywhere
